Edible Image Vintage Cake | Rosette & Cherries

I purchased this cake for my fiancé for his 30th Birthday.

I bought this in hopes of loving it enough to buy my wedding cake from Annie.

I am a massive cake lover and was hoping this cake would be amazing.

At first glance, I loved it! It was a work of art. The pipe work is amazing!

Unfortunately the icing was very sickly and no one from the party ate their full slice, every one of the 40 guests were disappointed. I thought the icing was meant to be buttercream? All I could taste was sugar and came to the conclusion that Annie might’ve used mock cream instead (that’s a little misleading). I also didn’t really like the many layers of icing. I also had the Nutella filling, hoping it wouldn’t just be the Nutella spread… but it was literally the spread, not really what I was expecting. I also found that the sponge was dry too.

All in all I am a bit disappointed and dissatisfied by the cake and the amount of money I spent on it (close to $300) as for the same quality I could have spent less money.

Thought I’d let you know my honest opinion.

I ordered this cake for one of my best friends birthday and it was absolutely phenomenal! the cake was amazing from taste, to looks, to the little details that were added! Annie you seriously talented, and i’ve already ordered my next Cake from you!
